Muscle Confusion Secret Of Getting Results
In the last e-mail, we talked about the effects of stress on your heart. We also mentioned how just doing the circulation exercise in the Bully Xtreme training program – could cut down the risk of a heart attack and reduce your stress levels by almost 50%.
In this e-mail let's have a discussion about one of the training principles in the Iso-Synergy Training Program – Muscle Confusion and Muscle Confusion Theory. Muscle confusion is not about playing some tricks on your muscles. It's about changing certain variables in your workout so that your muscles do not become accustomed to the training and stop responding or growing.
In other words preventing and stopping the plateau effect. Here are some of the variables that you can alternate to ensure that your muscle confusion workouts keep producing results.
- Reduce the amount of rest in between exercises – Strive for rest periods not exceeding one minute to one minute and a half.
- Vary the amount of repetitions that you do for each exercise – By varying the repetitions that you perform you will begin using both fast and slow twitch muscles. This puts additional stress and forces your muscles to grow faster.
- Increase the resistance that you use – Pogressive resistance is the key to all muscle growth. Push yourself in each and every workout.
- Use isotonics and a post-isometric hold – Isometrics alone will not build muscle size contrary to what everybody else says. Isometric exercise does create an incredible increase in strength but unfortunately it does not shape or build muscle size. For this you need to utilize isotonics. Isotonics is simply doing repetitions of the exercise and multiple sets.
Muscle confusion can very quickly get your body responding if you have been plateauing. There are other ways that you can apply the principle of muscle confusion into your workouts. One of my favorites is to introduce other types of exercise equipment.
For example, using the Bodylastics resistance bands you can very quickly use resistance bands for isometric exercises. Using resistance bands in conjunction with the Bully Xtreme home gym is one of the best muscle building combinations that you can do in your muscle building program.
The thing I like best about the Bodylastics resistance bands is that they are also low in cost just like the Bully Xtreme home gym. In addition, they add versatility and allow you to use the principle of muscle confusion to increase your strength and muscle size in your workouts.
