Hugh Jackman Workout and Bodybuilding

The Hugh Jackman workout included many bodybuilding concepts.

Michael Ryan, (the celebrity personal trainer that is handling Jackman's training routine for X-Men origins Wolverine) is not only his personal trainer but Hugh was best man at Ryan's wedding.

Their friendship goes back to when Jackman was first starting out in the movie biz. (Ryan himself is an accomplished bodybuilder having been on many magazine covers.)

In addition, Michael Ryan worked for Bill Phillips, the New York Times best-selling author of Body for Life. Therefore, it is safe to say that when it comes to a bodybuilding workout… Ryan knows what he's talking about!

In some articles, you will read that the reason that the celebrity workouts will not work for you is that these individuals have excellent genetics. While that may be true however, there is plenty of proof to the contrary.

Can it really be that all the celebrities have great genetics? I do not think so!

Will Smith's, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Brad Pitt, Jessica Biel, Demi Moore and others have all completely transformed their bodies. Now, while they all may be talented actors — I personally have a tough time believing that all these guys and gals got the best genes in the human gene pool.

More than likely it is that they all trained very hard and followed a strict diet regiment.

Hugh Jackman Workout Regime

If you are looking to have a body like Wolverine and do not have 2 to 3 hours a day to train — there is still hope for you. By following the tips below you will be able to add lean muscle mass to your body… without joining a gym.

1. Make sure you get in plenty of protein and the proper vitamins & minerals. Eating 5 to 6 meals makes it easier to consume the necessary nutrients. (Jackman consumed three regular meals and had three protein shakes per day — according to his personal trainer)

2. Jackman's workouts lasted 1 1/2 hours per day. He trained five days per week during these intense bulking up sessions. Other than nutrition, a good bodybuilding workout is indispensable for adding muscle mass your body. To get leaner you must incorporate some form of cardio.

However, if you are what they call a "Hard Gainer" I would not recommend doing any intense cardio. Instead, focus on working out hard and eating 1 to 1 1/2 g of protein per day.

3. No need to join a gym — you can workout at home if you have a good quality set of resistance bands, dumbbells or an isometric isotonic exerciser. These types of exercise equipment are low in cost and do not require a lot of space. In addition, most of the exercises (more than 80 health club type exercises) can be performed with this equipment.

The most important thing is that by following some of tips laid out in this Hugh Jackman workout bodybuilding program you will gain some serious muscle mass.
