4 Top Strategies To Achieve Your Fitness Goals

Why do some people find it easy to maintain a workout program?

Somebody recently asked me “how do you find time to work out?” The answer I gave them may surprise you.

Honestly, I said… “I don’t know how you DON’T have time to work out”!

People that reach their fitness goals make time to exercise.

What it really boils down to is how much desire you have to reach this goal. Here are some tips that you can take to increase your motivation to work out.achieve your fitness goals

1. Anticipate Rewards

Open up your trusty word processor software and create as long a list as possible of all the benefits to be gained and losses to be avoided from achieving your fitness goals.

People do things for two reasons to gain something or to avoid losing something. Make a list as exhaustive as possible of every benefit and loss that can be avoided from reaching your objective.

Print out this list and keep it in your wallet or purse. Place a copy on your bathroom mirror. Put a copy of the sun visor to your car and read it every time you get into your car.

Saturate your mind with all the reasons why you want to get in better physical condition and what are the consequences if you don’t.

2. Learn Everything You Can about Your Goal

Read magazines, books, newspapers anything and everything about fitness, bodybuilding, weight loss… that you possibly can. The more you understand about the objective, the greater your interest will be. The more interest you have the greater will be your desire to succeed.

3. Build a Burning Desire

Constantly remind yourself of the goal. Cut out pictures from magazines or print them out from your computer. Purchase a bulletin board or a sheet of cardboard that you can use as your dream or visualization board.

Put these pictures were you will see them daily. They will act as a constant reminder of what you want to achieve. In order for you to achieve any goal in life, they must be at the forefront of your mind. You can’t leave it to chance; you must plan to achieve your goals.

Today, there is software that helps you create, track, visualize and affirm all your goals. Here’s one that I currently use:

4. Use Affirmations

Create two or three affirmations that reinforce and affirm your goal. Write these affirmations on 3 x 5 cards or sticky notes. Affirmations that you willing for others to see can be placed on your work computer, family refrigerator, bathroom mirror, etc.

If one of your goals is to lose weight, place an affirmation regarding this goal on your refrigerator door.

Here are a few examples that I have used in the past:

1. I only eat foods that are healthy for me to eat.
2. I maintain my weight easily by eating right and exercising daily.
3. I am in great health and it shows.
4. I work out with my Bully Xtreme three days per week minimum.
5. I always push myself in each of my Bully Xtreme workouts.

Make creating a burning desire to achieve your goals a daily habit. Make it a way of life and a deliberate course of action. In any area of life, the ultimate victory goes to the individual with the most desire to achieve their goals!
